DEPARTMENTS

Springer's research-based curriculum complies with and far exceeds the standards as defined by the State of Ohio for Elementary Schools.  As a non-graded school, we are organized into department teams:

        • Primary (ages 6-10)

        • Intermediate (ages 9-12)

        • Upper School (ages 12-14)

To facilitate our collaborative approach for students, the Intermediate classrooms are organized into two smaller teams, Intermediate Blue and Intermediate Green.

Students are assigned to small groups for reading and math instruction.  Other subjects are taught in larger groups with adjustments made for individuals as needed.  The school provides all texts and workbooks.  Student progress is evaluated on a trimester system.

Springer offers a variety of after-school activities and a number of intramural sports based on student ages and interest.  Activities include Advanced Pottery, Mad Science Club, Primary Taekwondo, Drama Clubs, Boys and Girls Clubs, and many more!  In the spring, students may elect to participate on Springer's competitive track and field team.

Students also participate in weekly art, physical education, and music classes.  Please see the Unified Arts page for more information.

Springer offers students the opportunity to enhance their skills with various technology tools.  Please see the Technology page for more information.
