On April 7, 2006, the Springer community celebrated "Who Day", when Bengals' Head Coach, Marvin Lewis, visited the school. Students and staff showed their Bengals spirit and dressed for the occasion! Coach Lewis immediately connected with Springer students, listening to their explanations about schoolwork, answering questions they had, and talking to them about the importance of their education. He stressed that they give every job their best effort, and that everyone learns in different ways (including his own football players!) and that that’s okay. Using his celebrity status in a positive way, as he does so often in our community, Coach Lewis sent powerful messages to Springer students. The impact of those messages and the memories of that day will last forever.
