Alan Kleesattel ‘06 is currently in his sophomore year at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. He has made the “A” Honor Roll every quarter, and is a member of the Junior National Honor Society. He is very interested in theater production, and has recently done designs for the Black Box theatre and Jersey Productions. He was awarded the Faculty Award at SPCA for his focus and dedication to his major – theatrical lighting design. This year he is taking AA English and working as a lighting designer for show playing at the Aronoff Fifth Third Theater. Alan says his goal is to be “an LD/LD – Learning Disabiled Lighting Designer!” (01-18-08) |
| Megan Northway ’06 is a sophomore at Turpin High School. She serves on the Color Guard team, has been on honor roll several times, and has been awarded Student of the Quarter. Last winter, Megan traveled with her Color Guard team to London, England to perform at the Queen’s New Year’s Day Parade. (01-18-08) |
Michael Stewart ’06 was the runner up for the Citizen of the Year Award from The Vanguard School this past year. This award is the most significant honor given at Vanguard, and is based on nominations from staff members. The award is given to a student who shows exemplary achievement in the following areas: attitude, helpfulness, leadership, grades, room care, cooperation, teamwork, and more. As described by his mom, “He has come a long way this year!” (01-18-08) |

Jeremy Duncan '05 "loves attending Moeller High School." He plans to play basketball this fall and run track in the spring, and has set his goal for the year to make first honors. "Thank you Springer for all your help!" |
Robbie Stroehlein '05 made the honor roll during his first year at Moeller High School. At school, he also helps iwth the track team, and has taken part in some pastoral ministry functions. He still participates in Scouts and is working on a project for his Eagle Scout Award. This summer, Robbie is working at Camp Friedlander teaching merit badges. He also plans to take some time off and go backpacking at Philmont in New Mexico. |
2004
Santino Ellis-Perez ’04 is a junior at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. He was chosen as one of seven students who won the Corbett-Mayerson Award. In the spring of each year, SCPA junior compete for this prestigious award, performing or displaying their talent in their chosen field. The winners are chosen by a jury of community professionals, and are considered to be students who best exemplify a professional artistic standard. Santino’s field is Instrumental Music, and he performed the Finale of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. (01-18-08)

Brad Langford '04 has signed a letter of intent to University of Cincinnati as part of their swim team. In an article featured in The Pulse Journal, Brad’s swim coach Mark Sullivan stated, "We knew all along back when he was a freshmen that he definitely had that potential. It's exciting to see him go through that recruiting process and have that difficult decision to choose his school. We're very happy for him.” Brad, who will receive a partial scholarship and major in architecture, also considered Michigan State, Clemson, Ohio State and Purdue. (01-18-08) |

Gretchen Pott ’04 is a recipient of the American Jewish Committee’s 42nd annual Simon Lazarus, Jr. Human Relations Award for outstanding high school volunteers. The Lazarus Awards recognize students who “unselfishly reach out to people from diverse racial, religious, or socio-economic groups.” Gretchen, a junior at Withrow University, works with the Angel Tree network to deliver holiday presents to children whose parents are incarcerated. She also tutors, volunteers at a soup kitchen, and provides childcare at her church. (01-18-08) |
2003
Geoff Lovett ’03 is a senior at Moeller high school. He is a member of the National Honor Society, has made honor roll every quarter of his high school career, and has been singing in the men’s chorus for 4 years. He has also acted as a student manager for the Varsity Volleyball program. Outside of school, Geoff has become very involved in the Invisible Children program, as well as the Over-the Rhine Community Housing Project. In the fall, he hopes to attend Wright State University in order to prepare himself to eventually attend medical school. (01-18-08) |
Tess Pendery ’03 did well at Mariemont as a freshman during the 2004-05 school year. Her grade point average the last 1 ½ years has been 3.5. |

Sean Lobins '03 moved to New Jersey and enrolled in The Craig School after graduating from Springer. He participates in socccer, basketball, and lacrosse. He is getting good grades, and even making honor roll! |
2002
Danny Benedetti PFC ’02 has been serving the United States Army for the past year and a half. He is stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, and is a member of the 101st Screaming Eagles division. He is getting ready for his first deployment to Iraq in April 2008. (01-18-08) |

Andy Gorman '02 graduated from Roger Bacon High School with second honors in the spring of 2006. In November 2005, he received his Eagle Scout Award. He has been accepted into the University of Cincinnati's School of Education, where he will major in Elementary Education. |
Mitchell Jett ‘02 was part of the Dixie Heights boys’ track and field team that recently won the Kenton County Championship. Mitchell was the boys’ most outstanding performer. He won the long jump with a distance of 21 feet, 2 inches to break a 30-year old school record. He also won the triple jump and was on the first-place 4x100 and 4x400 relays. (01-18-08) |
2001
Kelsey Doyle ’01 is doing very well as a junior at Anderson High School. She has taken several AP courses, and will be going to the Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College summer program for six weeks this summer. There, she will be fine-tuning her area of concentration and working on her portfolio for college admission. She is also active in the community. Kelsey is a group leader for the Just Say No program at Sherwood Elementary as well as a Peer Consoler at both Sherwood and Ayer Elementary Schools. (01-18-08)

Adam Isaacs ’01 is a senior at Scott High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society. In the summer of ‘07 he was accepted into the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts for his talent in the musical theater category. At the 2007 Kentucky High School State Swimming Meet, Adam placed 3rd in the 200 individual medley and 2nd in the 100 backstroke. He also achieved the All-American qualification in the 100 backstroke. (01-18-08) |
Caleb Lipsey ‘01 has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football at Murray State University. He has earned all-city, all-conference and honorable mention all-state honors and lead Sycamore High School to a 9-2 record and a district championship his senior season. As a senior he recorded 60 tackles, 22 of which were for a loss and made 11 sacks. He is the first Sycamore High School football player to be invited to play in the Big 33 All-Star game, which pits the best seniors from Ohio against the best seniors from Pennsylvania. He also earned all-city and honorable mention all-state recognition as a junior. He is also a member of Sycamore’s track and wrestling teams. In his first year of wrestling he qualified for the state tournament as a heavyweight. The next year, his junior season, he finished fourth in the state tournament. (01-18-08) |
Taylor Sunderhaus '01 graduated from Oak Hills High School in 2005. Next year he will attend Diamond Oaks to study Computer Programming. Taylor is also a member of the Ohio Athletic Boosters, and is a board member for the Westside Relay, part of the American
Cancer Society. |
Max Cobey ’01 is a student at Wyoming High School where he is receiving almost straight A’s and is on the honor roll. Max lettered in wrestling as a freshman and sophomore. He has also been published in the school newspaper and was one of only two sophomores to receive a role in the school play, “Twelfth Night.” |

Rosalyn Johnson '01 says in her letter, “The last four years went by fast!” Rosalyn graduated in 2005 from Wesley Academy in Pennsylvania with straight A’s her senior year and making honor roll throughout high school. This summer, she will work as a Jr. Counselor-in-Training at Camp Nuhop in Perrysville, Ohio. Rosalyn will attend Beacon College in Leesburg, Florida in the fall and plans to major in psychology. |

Arielle Bachrach '00 was recognized as an outstanding student at Sycamore Junior High School’s “Pride in Excellence Breakfast.” |

Libby Bentz '00 attends the Columbus College of Art and Design and was named to the president's list, an honor that goes to students that have better than a 3.0 GPA, while carrying at least 15 hours of course work. Two pieces of Libby's art have been on display at the College. |
Kevin Higgins '00 writes that he attended a vocational school for his last two years of high school and studied law enforcement. In his last year, he had to take a state test and passed with the second best score in his class! He stays in touch with some friends from Springer. |

Ed Hutchinson '00 graduated from McNicholas High School in 2004. He wrestled all four years, and his last two summers of high school, he life guarded at Coney Island. Shortly before graduation, Ed enlisted in the Army - something he had wanted to do for a long time. The September after graduation, he left for Ft. Benning, Georgia for basic training, and eventually moved to the 101st Airborne stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. His unit was sent to Camp Falcon, Iraq the day after Thanksgiving, and he is hoping to return next Christmas. |
Robin Warshaw '00 has been a straight A student since returning to Sycamore. She is in regular classes and honors English. She works hard at her studies and plays the clarinet in the marching band and jazz band at the high school. She learned great "strategies" for learning at Springer. |

Andrew Babey '99 graduated in 2005 from Highlands High School with a 3.98 GPA, having taken several advanced classes including German III and AP Physics. He will go to the University of Dayton in the fall on an $11,000 scholastic scholarship studying engineering. |

Cecilia Pratt ’99 was chosen as one of fifteen winners throughout the United States of the 2005 Keppra Family Epilepsy Scholarship. Now a freshman at the University of Cincinnati, this unique college scholarship program established by UCB Pharma, Inc. will provide $5,000 in financial assistance to Cecilia in furthering her education. She was chosen on her academic standing and community service at Anderson High School, where she was an honor student and a cheerleader. As a recipient, she was a guest of honor at the UCB Pharma dinner held in conjunction with the American Epilepsy Society’s annual meeting in Washington D.C. in December 2005. |
Andrew Reutcke ’99 is currently studying to be a Graphic Artist at the College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn IL, and will graduate in summer of 2007 with a certificate in Digital Prepress Productions. (01-18-08) |

Tina Sweetland '99 stopped in to Springer for a visit recently. She shared that she has graduated from Purcell Marian High School and is now attending the Eastern Hills Hair Academy School. She is expecting to graduate in January of 2006. |

Kim Johannigman '98 graduated Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania on May 20th, 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hotel Restaurant & Institutional Management. At Mercyhurst, Kim played varsity lacrosse for 4 years, and studied abroad in Sydney, Australia. Following graduation, Kim relocated to Cincinnati and is currently working in the restaurant field. |
Mica Leighton '98 graduated from Hocking College in March 2005 with a degree in Technological Studies. She now works in a Wilderness Therapy Program. The program promotes self-esteem, confidence, and relationship building using animals and outdoor activities. |
Anna Tepe '98 graduated from Middlesex Community College of Massachusetts in 2005. She also received her certificate in animal care from Becker College. In June, Anna began working for NEADS, an organization in Massachusetts that trains dogs in wheelchair assistance for the physically disabled and hearing impaired. |

Chip Pratt '96 graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. His weekly radio show, “Saturday Night Live with the Chipster,” is a huge hit on campus, and was recently featured in an article in The News Record. In addition to being loved by his fans, he was named Bearcast Member of the Year 2 years in a row, and was rated No. 1 DJ on Bearcast in the spring of 2005. In addition to his radio show, while at UC Chip was also involved in College Republicans, UC Student Government, the Criminal Justice Society, Catholic Campus Ministry, Alpha Pi Omega, and Eagle Scouts. Tony Webb '96 graduated from McNicholas High School in the spring of 2005. This fall, he started at the University of Louisville's Speed School of Engineering. He is entering a 5-year continuous program that includes 3 semesters of co-op. His current goal is to get a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and then work for Sony Electronics. |

Mike Wright '96 attended Purcell Marian High School following his graduation from Springer. He then spent one semester at Ashland University playing Division II football, before transferring to the University of Cincinnati to play Division I football. He was named Cincinnati's "newcomer of the year" for defense in 2003. After two successful seasons with the Bearcats, Mike graduated from UC with a major in Criminal Justice. He decided to tryout for the NFL, and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots on April 29, 2005. He currently plays as a Defensive Tackle for the Patriots, and lives in Rhode Island. |

Cathleen Mahin ’95 graduated in 2005 from St. Ursula Academy. Cathleen was presented with the Danielle E. Hater Award. This award, given in memory of Danielle, is presented to the senior who best exemplifies Danielle’s courage, perseverance, and optimism in the face of adversity. (Danielle was a 1996 Springer graduate and graduated from St. Ursula in 2000.) |

Roger Long ’94 graduated from Miami University in 2005 with a degree in Finance and a minor in Anthropology. He is currently a Financial Analyst in the Commercial Real Estate Department with Wells Fargo Bank in Seattle. (01-18-08)

Caroline “Cece” Gehrig ‘93 graduated cum laude in 2005 from Loyola University in New Orleans. She majored in Communications with a focus in Advertising; she has a minor in Marketing. Along with her role as president of Delta Gamma, Cece served as a mentor in the Big Brother/Big Sister program working with children in the New Orleans public school system. This fall, Cece will attend the fashion marketing program at the Parson School of Design in New York City. |

Michael Kamphake '92 attended Moeller High School and graduated from the Firefighter Academy of Lexington, KY in 2005. He has been assigned to the Station One Firehouse in downtown Lexington. Michael is also certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. |
Kevin Kummerle ’92 finished as a Business/Entrepreneur major at George Washington University in 2004. He moved back to Cincinnati and is now working in the family business – Metalex Manufacturing, Inc. |

Adam Sherman '91 graduated from the University of Illinois. He began dental school at Boston University this fall and is doing very well. |
Megan Heekin Triantafillou ‘91 received her BA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2001, and within 2 years of graduation she was exhibiting her work at the Hyde Park Art Show. She currently paints from her studio at the Essex Studios in Mt. Auburn where she shares a studio with two other working artists. Her paintings are abstract, nonobjective representations of aspects relating to nature and spirituality. In 2006 she exhibited at the New York Art Expo, and she was honored at Art Comes Alive 2007. This past July, she was chosen as Artist of the Month at the Pendleton Arts Center. (01-18-08) |

Chris Mercurio ’90 After his 1997 high school graduation from St. Xavier, Chris attended Villanova for his undergraduate degree, graduating in 2001. He earned his MBA from Xavier University last year, received his professional engineer license and currently works as a mechanical engineer for Intertech Design Services. |
