DESCRIPTION:\nThis is a 3-day course beginning October 27, 2025  and ending October 29, 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day.\n\n\n\nVirtual Course with Cari Kelly\n\n\n\nThe WRS Introductory Course provides an overview of the Wilson Reading System®, 4th Edition curriculum and serves as the prerequisite for WRS Level I Certification. This course provides teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the five principles of literacy instruction (Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension). This course offers participants hands-on activities utilizing WRS research-based, multisensory strategies to maximize the learning of students with reading difficulties.\n\n\n\nCourse Content:\n\n\n\n\nDefinition of dyslexia and how to identify common characteristics\n\n\n\nAppropriate student identification and placement\n\n\n\nProgram implementation\n\n\n\nProgress monitoring, scheduling, and establishing a successful learning environment\n\n\n\nPrinciples of language structure\n\n\n\nPractice how to teach language with direct, multisensory methods\n\n\n\nPlan and deliver the 10-part Wilson® Lesson Plan while receiving modeling and feedback from a Wilson® Credentialed Trainer during the course\n\n\n\n\nIF PAYING WITH PURCHASE ORDER – please send to center@springer-ld.org before completing registration.\n\n\n\n\n
