Springer School and Center, the leading resource for learning disabilities in the Greater Cincinnati area, recently announced a $5,000,000 capital campaign, Imagine the Possibilities. More than halfway to the goal, the campaign has received a $250,000 leadership gift from the Harold C. Schott Foundation and a $250,000 challenge grant from the Farmer Family Foundation to stimulate community support.
The Springer Board of Trustees has 100% participation in the campaign with a combined gift of $550,000. Lead gifts from corporate funds and trusts include Cincinnati Bell; Jacob G. Schmidlapp Trusts, Fifth Third Bank, Trustee; The Procter & Gamble Fund; and Western & Southern Financial Fund. Campaign Chair Kate Lawrence in making the announcement said, "As a parent of two children with learning disabilities, it is an honor to chair this capital campaign. Springer can change children's lives and give families hope. All of these gifts have inspired us to continue to work towards our campaign goal. In doing so, we will be able to follow our mission which is to reach out to the ever increasing number of children who are affected by learning disabilities in our community."
