Why ADHD Makes It So Hard to Sleep — and What You Can Do About It
June 29, 2025
Summer is a busy season at Springer School and Center—not just for preparing classrooms and programs, but also for planning meaningful events that support our broader community. As part of that work, we’re excited to share an early announcement about a special guest coming next winter.
Coming to Springer in February 2026: Sarah Ward, M.S., CCC-SLP!
We’re pleased to share that nationally recognized executive function expert Sarah Ward will be coming to Springer in February 2026 to lead an engaging and practical evening session for parents and caregivers. The presentation is focused on building executive function skills in children and teens. (Educators, you'll find this session valuable too!)
Sarah is the co-developer of the 360 Thinking Model, a framework used in schools and clinics worldwide to help children become more independent and self-directed. Her work focuses on strategies to support students with planning, time management, organization, and task initiation—skills that often present challenges at home as well as at school.
One of the key tools Sarah is known for is Future Sketching, a simple technique that teaches students to mentally rehearse what success looks like before beginning a task. It’s a skill that builds independence, reduces the need for constant prompting, and helps children get started with confidence.
More details, including how to register, will come later—but we encourage you to mark your calendar now for the evening of February 12, 2026. This event will be open to the community and is ideal for anyone supporting a child who struggles with executive function.
