This primary child did well in preschool, but struggled in 1st grade. It was hard for her to remember the sounds that letters make and how to write them. She knew a lot of information and wanted to answer questions in class, but by the time she figured out what she wanted to say, the class had moved on. Her teacher wanted her to participate more in class discussions, but she was becoming increasingly afraid to raise her hand.
