Over 500 guests came together in spectacular style for a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser benefitting financial aid and outreach for young learners in Greater Cincinnati. Chaired by dedicated Springer trustee and parent Carrie Gould, the Race for Success Celebration gala combined festive flair, fascinators and a heartfelt mission: to support students on their track to success.
Held at the majestic and historic Music Hall, and decorated to theme, guests enjoyed cocktails, a Southern-inspired dinner and special Springer speakers. FOX19 sports anchor Joe Danneman returned as emcee to lead our program and live auction, which featured trips to Portugal and St. Thomas, tickets to see Billy Joel and Rod Stewart, and special Reds, Bengals, UC and FC Cincinnati experiences.
A highlight of the evening was a speech from Springer alumna Becca North, who commenced in 2006 to become a graduate of Otterbein University and the Equine Manager at the local Greenacres Foundation. Becca also visited Springer’s campus to talk with students and introduce them to Carly, her beautiful Clydesdale. She told students “Because of your time at Springer, you’ll be able to face whatever comes your way.”
